Stop passing notes to Chelsea players: Petitt warns Rosenior

French legend Emmanuel Petit warned Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior to stop passing notes to players.

Petit, speaking to talkSPORT, found the tactic embarrassing, although he suggested the approach makes the manager look foolish rather than proactive.

“The way he acts, his body language on the bench, the way he always tries to write things down on paper and then hand them to his players, I mean… come on.

“They (the players) don’t understand it, that’s how it was 20 years ago too, we don’t understand it, so let’s not do that, we’re not stupid, we’re not children, so let’s just try to behave in the right way.”

“I don’t know if you have seen the image of the last game where they lost 3-0 against Everton, I saw that game and after the third goal he tries to make a change and write something.

“He turned very quickly to his players who were about to enter the field and showed him something on a piece of paper, but if you take a quick look at the player behind him, the way they look at the coach tells me a lot.”
