Super Eagles call up Nwaiwu for injured Calvin Bassey

The Super Eagles have replaced the injured Calvin Bassey with Turkish defender Chibuike Nwaiwu for the friendlies against Iran and Jordan..

The Eagles made the announcement of this replacement after Fulham star Bassey withdrew from friendlies due to a back injury.

Nwaiwu is yet to be selected by the Super Eagles but has been in good form for Turkish Super Lig leaders Trabzonspor, scoring three goals so far and cementing his place in the first team since his transfer from Austria in January.
