Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix has expressed his determination to be part of the team for the 2026 World Cup in France.
Lacroix, who made his debut against Brazil in Thursday night’s international friendly at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, said he is not in the United States to make up the numbers.

“The World Cup, in the United States, is of course a dream. I played my first match on Thursday, in front of this American crowd and in this type of stadium.
“It’s a truly incredible atmosphere. These are the kind of competitions you really want to play in. I even think the World Cup might be the most watched and followed competition in all of sports.
“I want to be part of this type of competition.”
