Alex Iwobi was shown a red card as the Super Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw in an international friendly with Jordan on Tuesday night.
Despite leading in the first half, Nigeria could not finish the job against a Jordanian team that had already qualified for the 2026 World Cup.
The match played in Türkiye saw Jordan score first through Musa Tamari in the 17th minute before Moses Simon equalized for the Eagles.

The new kid on the block, Emmanuel Fernandez, then put Nigeria ahead before half-time, opening his goal account for the national team.
Eric Chelle’s side looked set for victory when Al-Dawood scored for Jordan in the 77th minute to level the two sides.
The Super Eagles ended the match with 10 men when Iwobi was shown a red card in stoppage time for a foul.
Recall that Nigeria picked up a 2-1 win over Iran in another international friendly last weekend. They will now shift their focus to qualifying for the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
