The NFF must be reformed

Former Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje has called for a comprehensive reform of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), arguing that the current structure is failing Nigerian football.

Expressing his concern about the management and direction of the Super Eagles, Sodje, in a talk with Brila FMHe stated that without a profound structural change, the federation does not advance.

“It’s over, now we have to start thinking about where we are as a country, the NFF has to be reformed, the old guards have to give in, we have to understand that preparation is key,” he added.

“We have to start preparing for the next one because we are very behind in terms of organization and technically we are also very behind.

“When I say technically I don’t mean Eric Chelle and the technical team of the national team. I mean the technical committee of the NFF, they have to do better.

“We have to know exactly what we want for our country, it’s not fair to the fans that we deserve better.”
