Cristiano Ronaldo marked his return from injury with two goals as Al Nassr recorded a 5–2 comeback win against Al Najma in a league clash.
The match was Ronaldo’s first appearance since he was injured during a match against Al Feiha on 28 February.
Al Najma took the lead in the 44th minute through Rakan Altulayhi, but Abdullah Al-Hamdan equalized for Al Nassr before the break.
Sadio Mane then scored in injury time in the first half to give Al Nassr a 2-1 lead at the break.
Felippe Cardoso equalized for the visitors three minutes into the second half, but Ronaldo restored Al Nassr’s lead in the 56th minute with a penalty, recording his 22nd league goal of the season.
The Portuguese striker completed his brace in the 73rd minute, sealing an excellent comeback performance after more than a month on the bench.
Mane then added his second goal in stoppage time to complete the emphatic victory.
The result took Al Nassr to 70 points after 27 games, extending their lead over rivals Al Hilal, who sit on 64 points after 26 games.
