Osimhen increased Galatasaray’s popularity in Africa and the Middle East – Official

Galatasaray SK vice-president Ibrahim Hatipoglu has praised the impact of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, saying the player has significantly increased the club’s global popularity.

Hatipoglu said Galatasaray had become a household name across Africa and the Middle East following Osimhen’s arrival at the club.
Galatasaray signed Osimhen from SSC Napoli in a historic €75 million permanent transfer last summer.

Speaking ahead of Galatasaray’s Turkish Super Lig clash against Trabzonspor at Papara Park, Hatipoglu said Osimhen had significantly boosted the club’s global recognition.

“Victor Osimhen has increased our popularity enormously. We are seeing unprecedented interest from all over the world, especially from Africa and the Middle East. It’s not just about football; it’s about the brand,” he said.

Hatipoglu added that Galatasaray is now widely recognized in regions where the club previously had a limited presence, attributing the growth largely to Osimhen’s influence.
