Super Eagles will play Poland and Portugal in June

Fresh from defeat against a FIFA World Cup-bound team (Iran) and tied with another (Jordan) in the city of Antalya, Turkey, three-time African champions Nigeria are looking forward to a very exciting summer as they are set for battles against FIFA World Cup-bound Poland and Portugal during the FIFA friendly match window in June.

The NFF’s FIFA match agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, confirmed on Thursday that the clash with Poland will take place at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in the country’s capital, Warsaw, on June 3, while the clash with Portugal will take place in Portugal on June 10, with the venue to be announced in the coming days.

The match against Seleção das Quinas (the name of Portugal’s senior men’s team) will be the hosts’ last game before flying to the far west to participate in this summer’s FIFA World Cup finals co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Cup champions Super Eagles are also scheduled to defend their crown at this year’s Unity Cup Tournament in London, which runs from May 26-30.
