The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday postponed judgment in a lawsuit filed by a member of the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, against the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) until Tuesday.
Abejide is seeking an order restraining former Senate President, David Mark and former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, from parading themselves as national chairman and national secretary of ADC respectively.
The lawmaker in his complaint marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1637/2025, filed on February 15, listed ADC, Ralph Nwosu, Mark, Aregbesola and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as defendants.
Nwosu is the former national chairman of ADC who stepped down to replace Mark.

The plaintiffs seek an order annulling Nwosu’s handover or transfer of leadership of the ADC to Mark and Aregbesola as interim national chairman and interim national secretary respectively on July 2, 2025, among other relief.
The lawsuit, which was scheduled to be decided before Judge Musa Liman today, was not continued because the judge was said to be absent for other official business.
Judge Liman on Friday set Monday for a decision on the matter.
The judge set the date after Abejide’s lawyer, Ibrahim Idris (SAN), and defense lawyers agreed to the process of their lawsuit.
