The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ugandan coach Shamirah Nabadda as central referee for the second leg of the final qualifying round for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026 on Saturday between Benin Republic and the Nigerian Flamingos.
Malian official Fanta Idrissa Kone will act as first assistant referee, while Burundi’s Fides Bangurambona has been named second assistant referee.
Another Ugandan, Josephine Nantongo, will act as substitute referee for the match.

CAF also appointed Togo’s Aissata Ameyo as match commissioner, while Senegal’s Fatou Gaye will act as referee evaluator.
The Flamingos go into the decider with a narrow 3-2 lead from the first leg, which was played last weekend at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne.
Akeem Busari’s team arrived in Lomé on Friday and have completed their preparations for the crucial match.
The overall winner will book a place at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026, which will be held in Morocco later this year.
