A notorious bandit leader was killed in a factional clash in Kaduna

A notorious bandit leader, identified as Kachalla Auwalu, linked to the Dogo Gide network, was killed in a violent clash between rival factions in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of ​​Kaduna State.

The Nigerian Army disclosed this in an operational report given to journalists on Sunday in Abuja.

The report said the incident occurred during an internal confrontation between armed groups operating in the region.

He added that around 12 terrorists were reported killed in the clash.

The army said its troops were monitoring the situation closely.

It also revealed that troops under Operation Fansan Yamma in Zamfara State responded to the attack on Gidan Daji village in Maru Local Government Area of ​​the state, saying that troops had launched a pursuit operation aimed at capturing the fleeing terrorists.

The army said additional operations were underway as part of intensive efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and restore security in affected communities.
