BBNaija’s Phyna rejects criticism over the decision to remain childless

Reality TV star, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, aka Phyna, has defied criticism over her decision not to have children.

The former Big Brother Naija star’s decision not to have children has sparked a new debate around personal choices and society’s expectations of motherhood.

Phyna previously stated that she would rather keep a pet than be a biological parent, a comment that quickly drew mixed reactions on social media.

Responding to the backlash, the actress accused her critics of having outdated views and argued that many people were quick to judge her decisions without understanding the personal factors behind them.

He also criticized the insults that came after his statement. He described the response as unfair and reflecting a broader culture of intolerance towards unconventional life choices.

Phyna attributes her decision to her childhood, and notes that her childhood experiences have significantly shaped her perspective on parenting.

“Stupid village people… I didn’t want to bring a child here. I was afraid of being the parent I was… and it was time,” he said, underscoring his determination to prioritize self-awareness over societal pressures.
