Hamzat: Jandor dares Sanwo-Olu, GAC, chooses modules for APC governorship

While the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) have endorsed the deputy governor of the state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, as the consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship race, an aspirant on the governing platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdul lazees Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, has opted for nomination and expression of interest forms for the position.

A statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of his campaign team, Gbenga Ogunleye, said Adediran has formally purchased forms to contest the governorship election in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The statement said the step taken by Jandor reflects his disciplined adherence to the party’s established processes and his unwavering faith in the internal democratic mechanisms of the APC.

“It reiterates its full alignment with the party’s official position on adopting direct primaries for all elective offices and expresses confidence that this approach will further deepen participatory democracy, strengthen party cohesion and give each member a sense of ownership as candidates emerge,” the statement read.

The statement further said Adediran reaffirms his respect, loyalty and unwavering commitment to the National Leader of the APC and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“He equally extends his highest greetings to the leadership of the party in Lagos State, its illustrious elders and all recognized leaders whose leadership continues to shape the progressive ideals of the APC.”
