The Nigerian women’s national football team will face either Sudan or Comoros in the second round of qualifiers for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The match follows the release of the official qualifying draw by the Confederation of African Football, which confirmed that Sudan and Comoros will meet for the first time in a preliminary tie, with the winner advancing to face Nigeria. Second round matches are scheduled to be played between October 5 and 13, 2026.

Nigeria, one of Africa’s most decorated women’s teams, will begin their campaign at this stage as they aim for another appearance at the Olympic Games. The Super Falcons are expected to approach the tie with confidence as they look to advance further in the qualifying series.
