Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and joined the Allied People’s Movement, APM.
Mohammed made it official on Saturday, May 2, 2026, after collecting his APM card.
The move could redraw the political map of Bauchi. The PDP has long been the dominant force in the state.
Mohammed had already signaled his plans for 2027: a run for the Bauchi South senatorial seat. Now he will do so on the APM platform.
