Coalition support groups within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State on Friday staged a solidarity parade in Ayetoro, mobilizing grassroots support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The coalition, which included the City Boy Movement, Caucus 7202 and the Ogun West Assembly, marched through the main streets of Ayetoro, the seat of local government, in a colorful procession that attracted party faithful, supporters and community stakeholders.

The groups then gathered at the Alaye Palace Square in Ayetoro where the leaders declared a united front to strengthen the electoral fortunes of the APC in the area and across Ogun State.

Assistant Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Kunle Salako, who convened the march, said the mobilization was aimed at consolidating grassroots structures in support of President Tinubu’s re-election and Senator Adeola’s governorship aspiration.

According to him, the convergence of support groups signaled renewed political coordination within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

“This meeting is to demonstrate our readiness in Yewa North to mobilize overwhelming popular support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the electoral victory of Senator Adeola in 2027,” Salako said.

He further described the emergence of Adeola as the consensus governorship candidate of the APC in Ogun State as a landmark political development for Ogun West, stressing that it reflected the growing inclusiveness within the party’s leadership structure.

“We are here to celebrate the selection of Senator Adeola as the consensus governorship candidate of the APC in Ogun State. This is the first time anyone from Ogun West has been unanimously endorsed in that capacity,” he added.

Also speaking, the Director General of Caucus 7202, Seni Koiki, said the solidarity parade was organized to harmonize support structures and strengthen mobilization efforts for APC candidates at all levels in Yewa North.

Koiki said the coalition is committed to ensuring the electoral success of President Tinubu and Senator Adeola, stressing that unity among party blocs remains critical to the APC strategy to 2027.

The event concluded with renewed pledges of party loyalty and commitments from coalition groups to step up grassroots engagement in communities in Yewa North and beyond.
