The head of the delegation, Abbas, has the full support of the APC for a 5th term

All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Kaduna have unanimously confirmed Chief Abbas Tajuddeen as the sole candidate for Zaria federal constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC DPR Primary Election Returning Officer in Zaria, Hamisu-Ibrahim Kubau, confirmed in Zaria, Saturday.

Kubau said 1,376 party members in 13 districts of the federal constituency confirmed the party chief as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 general election.

The election was witnessed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Electoral Officer in Zaria, Mrs Balason Miga, the APC Principal Electoral Committee led by Senator Yakubu Shuaibu, key stakeholders and security personnel.

This peaceful affirmation was attended by environmental administrators and retired service officers in the 13 sub-districts of the electoral area.

The speaker had earlier been confirmed by 250 members of his ward (Kwarbai B) in Zaria Local Government Area of ​​the state.

In his acceptance speech, Abbas described the development as historic and a testament to the people’s trust and support for his leadership style.

He added that the development reminded him of the 2019 primaries where delegates elected him without any persuasion.

He said, “today’s affirmation shows that the people appreciate and value his representation and the leadership qualities of President Bola Tinubu.”

The speaker expressed his gratitude for the public trust placed in him over the past 16 years.

He promised to redouble his efforts in making effective laws and attracting community-oriented projects that will have a direct impact on people’s lives.
