Marital crisis: once again Frank Edoho speaks

Veteran Nigerian broadcaster and broadcaster Frank Edoho has said he does not want his death to be linked to any woman in his life, as he spoke out about emotional struggles and mental health challenges faced by men.

Edoho made the comments during an interview on the YouTube podcast Outside the Box, where he reflected on masculinity, emotional pressure and personal experiences.

She said she hopes to live a meaningful life defined by kindness and positive impact rather than being defined by relationship struggles.

“I don’t want to go to the gates of heaven and be asked what killed me, and they say it was a woman. Whether that woman is my daughter, my wife or my mother, I don’t want that,” he said.

“I want to die with a smile on my face, saying that I tried to put a smile on the faces of the people I met. My only regret should be that I wish I had done more good.”

Edoho noted that men often struggle in silence under pressure, adding that many are conditioned not to express their emotions.

He also recalled a difficult period in his life, describing it as a “black hole” that he had to overcome in private.

“I was in a very dark hole, but no one knew it. I had to go through it on my own to regroup,” he said.

The former Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host added that his television career taught him emotional control, even during personal difficulties.

Edoho’s remarks come as there is ongoing public scrutiny over the breakdown of his second marriage to interior designer Sandra Onyenucheya, which has also triggered public exchanges and allegations involving both parties.
