● “If you have nothing to say, shut up” – Isaac Fayose attacks older brother Ayo over Oyo’s kidnapping report

A family feud just went public. Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose, has lashed out at his elder brother for claims that the Oyo State government orchestrated the recent kidnapping of pupils and teachers in Orire LGA to blackmail President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking on Channels Television, Ayo Fayose said the timing of Oyo’s abduction was suspicious.

He said Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde only visited the victims’ families and “brought out someone who started crying” after completing the nomination of his candidate.

“I firmly believe, I may be wrong, that this may at times be orchestrated… by the Oyo State government to blackmail President Tinubu,” the former governor said.

He drew parallels with how former President Goodluck Jonathan was “blackmailed into insecurity”, praising Tinubu for handling the damage caused by the Buhari administration.

Isaac Fayose responds with applause:

Reacting in an Instagram video, Isaac dismissed his brother’s theory and accused him of double standards.

He wondered why Ayo did not make the same “orchestrated kidnapping” hypothesis regarding kidnappings in APC-led states such as Kwara, Niger and Borno.

“If you have nothing to say, stay silent,” Isaac fired.

The young Fayose’s rebuke turns what began as a political accusation into a brother-against-brother clash, with both men trading blows over who gets blamed for Nigeria’s insecurity.
