Troops arrest Boko Haram suspects. logistics supplier in Borno

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested several suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers in Borno State.

This was stated by HADIN KAI Operation Information Media Lt. Col. Sani Uba in his statement, Thursday in Maiduguri.

He said the attack was part of ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the North East region.

He said: “This includes the arrest of terrorists and their collaborators, disruption of logistics supply networks, recovery of arms and ammunition, and consolidation of overall security improvements in the North East.

“Intelligence and surveillance-led operations carried out in Borno and Yobe states resulted in the arrest of several suspects linked to terrorist logistics activities.

“Among those arrested is a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP logistics supplier, Girema Aliko, 40, who was arrested by troops of Operation HADIN KAI and Forest Rangers at Benisheikh Market in Borno State.

Aliko, who was reportedly on the security watch list, was stopped while trying to transport 30 liters of Premium Motor Spirit.

“During initial interrogation, he admitted to supplying fuel and other logistics to terrorist elements.”
