Chelle Pick Lessons learned from the Super Eagles’ 1-2 loss to Portugal

Nigeria senior national team coach Eric Chelle has reacted to his team’s 1-2 loss to Portugal in a friendly match in Lisbon, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria were narrowly defeated by the World Cup-bound team and Akor Adams scored Nigeria’s only goal in the match. It was the first defeat that the team suffered in regulation time under José Peseiro.

However, the coach is not worried about the result after knowing some things about the game, which according to him is the main objective of a game of that magnitude.

“You have to look at the lessons you learn when you lose against a very good team and Portugal is among the best in the world and that is why they are among the favorites for the World Cup,” said Chelle.
