Canada’s 92nd-minute winner knocked South Africa out of the World Cup

Canada’s late win in their World Cup round of 32 match against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on Sunday night moved the North Americans into the last 16.

After more than an hour and 30 minutes of back and forth wasting opportunities for both sides, the goal was finally created in the 92nd minute through Stephen Eustaquio’s neat shot.

It was an incredible performance for Canada who have now qualified for the last 16 of the World Cup for the first time.

They await the winner of Netherlands v Morocco in the round of 16 of the tournament.
