HCSF Walson-Jack praises NIMC on digital identity and other reforms

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Didi Esther Walson-Jack, on Monday commended the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for reforms that have repositioned identity management in Nigeria.

Speaking during a meeting with the NIMC management in Abuja, Walson-Jack commended the commission for successfully implementing the new NIMC law and gaining approval for its service scheme.

“There is nothing like working with an outdated law. It holds you back. You can’t do the things you want to do. Well done to you and your team, we are happy to have approved the service program,” he told the commission’s head, Abisoye Coker-Odusote.

The NIMC DG thanked the service chief for approving the long-awaited service scheme of the commission.

“I have been calling for this since 2007 and you are the service chief who approved it for us. This aligns perfectly with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Federal Government’s public service reforms,” he said.
