Primaries: No plan to replace candidates in Nasarawa – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has rubbished a plan to replace candidates who emerged victorious during the party’s recent primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The State Chairman of the APC, Aliyu Bello, debunked speculations rife in some quarters on Saturday, in Lafia, while distributing EC9 and EC13E forms to 24 state House Assembly candidates.

He clarified that there is no plan to replace any candidate, stressing that no successful candidate has been changed in Nasarawa State.

“No candidate has been changed;

“You cannot replace anyone because we have given them the form to fill based on the name submitted by the APC national secretariat, and their names will be uploaded based on that,” he said.

Bello also disclosed that the party is working to set up a reconciliation committee to reconcile the aggrieved members and called on them to remain calm and work towards the party’s victory.

“There are more opportunities within the government; there are many things on the table. The government is too big; when we form the government, we will look for them,” he assured.

“We will continue to appeal; it is only one person who will occupy a leadership position at a particular time. Leadership comes from God; it is only God who creates leaders, not Aliyu Bello, not Governor Abdullahi Sule and APC but God.”
