The Nigerian Super Falcons will begin preparations for the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations on Monday with the opening of their training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of the continental tournament.
Coach Justine Madugu is expected to welcome the 25 invited players to the camp after presenting her team for the title defense last week. The nine-time African champions will use the Casablanca camp to finalize preparations before moving to Rabat for the Group C matches, aiming to extend their record tenth WAFCON crown.
The Super Falcons have qualified alongside Zambia, Egypt and tournament debutants Malawi. Nigeria will open their campaign against Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium on July 28 before facing Zambia on August 1 and Egypt in their final group match at the Olympic Stadium on August 5.
WAFCON 2026 will also serve as Africa’s qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, with the four highest-ranked teams earning automatic qualification for the global finals.
