Wolverhampton Wanderers were forced to cancel a training session after a disagreement over Super Eagles striker Tolu ArokodareHis involvement with the first team.
Tolu Arokodare has found herself at the center of a new controversy in wolves after a dispute on the training ground led to a first-team session being cancelled.
According to multiple reports in England, the incident occurred on Monday after Arokodare was ordered not to train with the first team.
The Nigerian striker allegedly refused to leave the training pitch, leading to a confrontation that forced Wolves to abandon the planned session.
The club also introduced additional security measures at its Compton Park training ground following the clash.
He had informed Wolves earlier this summer that he wanted to leave following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
Reports suggest that Arokodare wants to continue his career in one of Europe’s top five leagues rather than playing in the Championship.
The wolves, however, are in no rush to approve his departure.
The club estimated that the striker’s value exceeded 20 million euros after rejecting proposals from interested clubs.
Italian Serie A side Fiorentina remain one of the contenders for his signature after seeing an initial offer rejected, while Turkish side Trabzonspor and Serie A side Genoa have also received interest.
The latest incident is not the first disciplinary issue involving the Nigerian international.
In April, Arokodare was suspended after being involved in a physical altercation with teammate Matheus Mane following Wolves’ 4-0 loss to West Ham United.
The confrontation reportedly took place after the match and led to internal disciplinary action by the club.
Arokodare also endured a difficult first season in England after joining Wolves from Belgian side Genk in 2025.
He scored three goals in 33 Premier League appearances as Wolves struggled throughout the campaign before suffering relegation to the Championship.

During his first interview after taking over, the Portuguese coach described the standards he expects from his players and emphasized discipline, responsibility and unity.

“This is important for me, but I know very well what I want from the team. I want my team to be organized with and without the ball.

“The third is to show the quality of the players. Play an offensive game and try to press high. Try to be the main protagonist of the games. I want to win games, but I want to win by playing good football. With passion and energy.
“The fans can expect a team with ambition. A strong character and identity and a strong game idea. A team that never gives up to win three points and try to make the fans proud.”

The situation could also draw attention under FIFA’s recently introduced regulations aimed at preventing clubs from isolating contracted players to force transfers.
The regulations establish that players must continue training with the first team unless there is a legitimate sporting or medical justification for their exclusion.
At the moment, his future at the club seems increasingly uncertain.
What started as transfer speculation has turned into a public dispute, with his relationship with the club seemingly at an all-time low.
Unless a breakthrough is made in negotiations with one of the clubs interested in him, the coming weeks are likely to determine whether Arokodare remains at Molineux.
