The future of newly capped Nigerian international winger Femi Azeez will be one of the stories to watch when the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday, reports OwnGoalNigeria.com.
A star for Nigeria’s senior team at the summer Unity Cup, where he made his international debut with two goals and an assist helping the team to the title.
Earlier in the summer, newly promoted Ipswich Town were reported to have failed in a bid for his service, with Aston Villa also rumored to be in pursuit, as well as some teams in Italy.
However, Brighton have been the most active in their pursuit with two failed bids, which have been rejected and the latest report indicates that a third was also rejected.
Brighton’s latest bid for the 25-year-old is believed to be around £12million. Transfer expert David Ornstein posted: “Femi Azeez tells Millwall of his desire to leave and join Brighton & Hove Albion after third bid is rejected.
“Latest proposal for right-wing package over £12m; still under #Millwall valuation but #BHAFC pursuit continues and 25-year-old wants PL move granted”.
The BBC previously reported that Championship club Wrexham are also interested in Azeez, but the Nigerian wants a move to Brighton.
