“Blessings” is a collaboration between indigenous Nigerian rapper Highstarlavista and fellow Nigerian rapper Aguero Banks. It’s one of the standout collaborations from 2026’s six-track MATERIAL EP.
The album is about appreciating, growing, and recognizing God’s grace during terrible times, with both rappers relying on street experience and personal introspection. It is the sequel to Highstarlavista’s latest production, “Mgbidi” featuring Erigga.
Enaps is the producer and it’s hip-hop. The rap setting allows Highstarlavista and Aguero Banks to alternate in their verses, keeping the message clear and uncluttered. The set-up continues to prioritize their performance and narrative.
The partnership also revives a working relationship previously heard on “Obodobo.” Both musicians have cultivated a solid following in Nigeria’s eastern rap scene, so this contemplative record will find a natural audience among fans familiar with their past.
