Chief Ugo Udezue, Chairman, Marketing Committee of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) and Representative of the South East, has described the Extraordinary Congress of the Federation in Yola, Adamawa State, as an “extraordinary opportunity” for stakeholders to come together and discuss the future of basketball in Nigeria.
Speaking after the conference, Udezue expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the match, describing it as one of the best experiences he has witnessed in the Nigerian basketball family.
According to him, the congress provided stakeholders from across the country with an opportunity to participate in the affairs of the federation in an atmosphere of openness and mutual respect.
He praised the organizers and delegates for the manner in which the proceedings were conducted, stressing that the exercise was free and fair.
It was a free and fair meeting and I think everyone had a great time, he added.
Udezue also highlighted the importance of unity among basketball stakeholders, noting that meetings of such nature provide an avenue for members of the basketball community to exchange ideas and collectively contribute to the development of the sport in Nigeria.
The Yola Extraordinary Congress brought together NBBF stakeholders from different parts of the country as the federation continues efforts to strengthen the administration and development of basketball in Nigeria.
