Ibom Air records historic 5 million passengers after inauguration

Ibom Air has officially reached the five million passenger milestone, marking a significant growth phase for the Akwa Ibom state airline since the launch of commercial operations.

The historic figure was reached on September 25, 2026, during the airline’s 65,787th scheduled commercial flight.

In an official statement signed by the Group’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Aniekan Essienette, the airline attributed this achievement to the continued loyalty of passengers, the dedication of the workforce and strong partnerships with stakeholders.

“This achievement reflects the enduring trust that passengers continue to place in Ibom Air and reinforces the airline’s commitment to providing safe, reliable and customer-focused air transportation services across its network,” Essienette said.

“Reaching five million passengers is clear evidence of the loyalty of our customers, the dedication of our employees and the support of our partners,” he said.
