Ola Aina has admitted that Moses Usor’s solo goal against Madagascar in the AFCON qualifiers that sealed a 2-1 win for the Super Eagles left him stunned, reports OwnGoalNigeria.com.
Usor was introduced in the second half for his international debut for Nigeria, and the LASK winger justified coach Eric Chelle’s confidence by replacing him with Samuel Chukwueze with the score at 1-1.
He collected the ball from the edge of the Nigerian box and ran solo into the opposition half before firing in a low shot to put Nigeria ahead for the first time in the game.
The goal ended up being the winner to help Nigeria start the campaign on a winning note, and Usor introduced himself to the Nigerian fans with that goal.
“He kept going and I was wondering where he was going. So when he landed in the net I was stunned, his debutant and he did it at home under pressure. There is some talent there,” he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
