NPFL EuroMatch: Enyimba, Rangers, Lagos Derby in rescheduled matchday two action

The EuroMatch Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) will witness a busy midweek schedule on Wednesday, September 30, when four rescheduled matchday two matches will take center stage across the country.

With the league season gaining momentum, attention will turn to several clubs looking to make up for lost ground, including Enyimba FC who will welcome Shooting Stars after finally claiming their first point of the campaign.

Enyimba ended their difficult run on matchday six with a goalless draw against Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. The result offered some relief to the People’s Elephant, but now he will face another demanding test when the Falling Stars arrive.

The Ibadan team will look to make the most of the match as both teams look for valuable points.

In Warri, defending champions Rangers International will travel to take on Warri Wolves in another intriguing encounter.

Rangers suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Ikorodu City in their last league match and will be hoping for a strong response against Warri Wolves. The defending champions will be under pressure to rediscover their winning form as the season progresses.

There will also be a Lagos derby when Sporting Lagos host Ikorodu City in what promises to be a closely contested match.

Ikorodu City comes into the match with confidence after achieving one of the most outstanding results of matchday six, defeating Rangers International 2-0 in Lagos. Meanwhile, Sporting Lagos drew 1-1 with Barau FC in their previous match.

In the fourth rescheduled match, Katsina United will host Rivers United.

Rivers United will arrive after a goalless draw against Ranchers Bees in Kano in the last match of matchday six. Meanwhile, Katsina United recorded a 2-1 victory over Doma United and will look to build on that result at home.

With valuable points up for grabs in all four matches, Wednesday’s action promises another important chapter in the NPFL’s early-season run.
