Tinubu dismisses health issues and says I am “healthy, healthy and ready to go”

Bola President Ahmed Tinubu has dismissed speculation over his health, stating that he is fit and ready to resume his activities after returning to Nigeria from an extended working holiday in Europe.

Tinubu made the clarification on Tuesday shortly after arriving in Lagos from Paris, where he spent the end of his holiday.

Speaking with journalists, the President was asked about concerns raised in some circles regarding his health during his long stay abroad.

Tinubu dismissed the concerns, and insisted that there was no health problem.

“Ready to kick, ready to walk. Nothing can go wrong.

“Rumors will always come out of politics, but the fact remains that I am here. Healthy, healthy and ready to go,” said the President.

Tinubu left Nigeria on August 30 for a three-week working holiday in Europe. He first traveled to London before moving to Paris, France.

The Presidency then announced the extension of the President’s stay abroad, explaining that he remains apprised of developments in Nigeria and continues to carry out his responsibilities while abroad.

His return to Lagos comes after weeks of public discussion surrounding his prolonged absence in the country.

The duration of the President’s stay abroad has also been the subject of political debate, with opposition voices questioning the circumstances surrounding the holiday.

The African Action Congress subsequently initiated legal proceedings against Tinubu and the National Assembly, alleging that the President had not informed the legislature before leaving the country.

Tinubu is now expected to resume his official duties in Nigeria, with activities leading up to the October 1 Independence anniversary expected to be included in his schedule.
