“This honor is a call to greater service”: SSA Adeboye appreciates Gbengade and Ososa community for chieftaincy title

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Chief Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, has expressed his deep gratitude to the Gbengade of Ososa Ijebu, His Royal Majesty Oba Adetoye Alatishe, following his conferral of the traditional title of Baba Ewe of Ososa Land, Ijebu.

Adeboye described the honor as a significant milestone in his life and, more importantly, as another call to deepen his commitment to youth development, community advancement and service to humanity.

In a message of gratitude after the award, the presidential assistant thanked the monarch for considering him worthy of such an honor and for the trust placed in him.

“I am deeply honored and sincerely grateful for the honor and privilege bestowed upon me by His Royal Majesty, Oba Adetoye Alatishe, the Gbengade of Ososa Ijebu. I receive this distinguished chieftaincy title with deep gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility,” Adeboye said.

He expressed special thanks to the royal family, traditional chiefs, elders and all the people of Tierra de Ososa for the warmth, acceptance and hospitality extended to him and his family throughout the occasion.

Adeboye also thanked his family, friends, colleagues, associates and well-wishers who supported him and contributed in different ways to make the award a memorable occasion.

In particular, he recognized those who traveled from near and far to celebrate with him, as well as those who sent congratulatory messages, made calls, offered prayers and gifts, and provided financial, logistical and other support.

For Adeboye, however, becoming Baba Ewe of Ososa Land, Ijebu, goes beyond the celebration and prestige associated with receiving a traditional title.

“This honor is not just a recognition, it is a call to greater service, responsibility and commitment. I accept the title of Baba Ewe with humility and determination to continue contributing positively to the development, unity and progress of our people and communities,” he stated.

The title also complements Adeboye’s responsibilities as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, where his work focuses on expanding opportunities for young Nigerians and creating sustainable pathways for talent development through sports.

He committed to continue using his position, experience and relationships to support initiatives capable of positively impacting young people and strengthening communities.

Adeboye concluded by praying for the good health and successful reign of Gbengade while also expressing his gratitude to all who participated in this historic occasion.

“To Kabiyesi, the royal family, chiefs, elders and people of Ososa, as well as my family, friends, colleagues and everyone who celebrated this milestone with me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

“May Almighty God reward your kindness and grant us many more opportunities to celebrate together in peace, good health and prosperity.”
