The Nigerian Air Force has released the names of 25 personnel and passengers on board the ill-fated NAF 931 ATR-42 aircraft that crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State, confirming that no survivors were found following the crash.
The plane, which had five crew members and 20 passengers, was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when the accident occurred.
In a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, expressed deep condolences to the families, colleagues and loved ones of those who lost their lives.
The NAF said search and rescue procedures were activated immediately following the accident, with response efforts conducted in coordination with relevant authorities. However, no survivors were found.
The five crew members were identified as:

Squadron Leader AP Man-Ugwueje – Co-pilot
Flight Lieutenant IS Bako – Co-pilot
Marshal Abubakar A – Aircraft Technician
Corporal Uguru HC – Aviation technician

The Chief of Staff of the Air Force launched a thorough investigation to establish the circumstances and causes of the accident.
The Nigerian Air Force said it will continue to provide timely and verified updates as the investigation progresses, urging the public to refrain from speculation and the circulation of unverified information.
The Service also appealed to the public to respect the privacy and dignity of the affected families.
Meanwhile, a condolence register has been opened at the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters in Abuja for senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, heads of security agencies and other well-wishers who wish to pay their respects and convey messages of solidarity to the families of the deceased and the Nigerian Air Force.
