Nigeria’s U-15 team, Future Eagles, have secured their first win at the 2026 FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, following a 2-1 comeback win against Cyprus on Monday.

Future Eagles, who arrived in Baku on Thursday, failed to pick up a win in their first three games, registering draws against South Sudan, Jordan and Gambia.

In their first match of the festival, they drew 3-3 against South Sudan before their second match against Jordan ended in a 2-2 draw. They also recorded a 3-3 draw against Gambia.

However, Future Eagles ended their winless streak after coming from behind to secure their first win in the competition against Cyprus.
