Think of Joseph. When Potiphar's wife tried to seduce him, he didn't negotiate, argue, or linger—he ran (Genesis 39:12). Sometimes the greatest victory is found in walking away.
I once heard a pastor share a powerful testimony. A young woman who was new to his church asked him to teach her the Bible, so he agreed to a Bible study at his home. While he stepped into another room to get something, she removed all her clothes. The moment he returned and saw what had happened, he immediately ran out of his own house. He stayed away for hours and only returned after she had left.
Years later, he met the same woman again. She confessed that she had been HIV positive at the time and had intentionally planned to infect him.
Whether every detail of that testimony can be verified or not, the lesson is clear: never underestimate temptation or the consequences of compromising your convictions.
To both men and women: your purity is worth protecting. Set healthy boundaries. Don't put yourself in compromising situations. Walking away is not weakness—it is wisdom.
And remember, how many people you have slept with is not a flex. Character, self-control, and obedience to God are far greater things to be proud of.
