D’Tigress Soars in the FIBA Rankings – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

The rankings, released by FIBA on Wednesday night, reflect D’Tigress’ outstanding performance at the 2023 AfroBasket Championship.

Under the guidance of coach Rena Wakama, the team secured their fourth consecutive title in the Championship, solidifying their dominance in African Women’s basketball.

Nigeria moved from the 18th spot to 11th place in the rankings, accumulating a total of 528.9 points.

Mali and Senegal, two other African powerhouses, also feature in the top 20 of the FIBA Women’s Rankings.
