Amusan wins the fourth national title.

World record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, clinched her fourth Nigerian title at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria national trials at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin-City on Monday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports. She reached the finish line with a time of 12.78 ahead of Adaobi Tabugbo, second in 13.33. The event, which ends on Tuesday (today), will help the AFN select athletes for the Paris Olympics, the African Championships to be held later this month in Cameroon and the U-20 World Championships in Lima, Peru, from 27 to 31 August. Although Amusan had qualified for the Olympics, she performed her lei race smoothly in Benin-City to defend her lei title.
