The Lagos State Police Command has criticized Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, over her public behavior.
The actress in a video posted on social media criticized some police officers for allegedly harassing her and leaving with her 14-year-old daughter.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, who reacted to the development in a post on his X account on Monday, said the actress was stopped for breaking the law by using the lane used for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicles.

He said that the actress was forced to pay a fine of N70,000 and she was not harassed.
‘Hundeyin wrote: βYou were stopped for violating traffic rules by driving in the BRT lane. You chose to make a scene. You choose to remain outside your vehicle when taken to the LAMATA office.
”The officers will not give in to your ruse to keep them at that place. You are entitled to pay the appropriate fine for your violation β N70,000 β to the government coffers.
βYou leave with your receipt and your vehicle. Not a single finger will touch you.β
