The Falconets prepare for World Cup glory

In a chat with Brila.net, Abdullahi highlighted the importance of early preparations and expressed confidence in the team’s potential to make history.

“This is not the first time a Nigerian women’s team has achieved something significant at the World Cup. The Falconets won a silver medal in Germany in 2010. Our goal now is to surpass that achievement,” said Abdullahi.

“For the U17 team to win a medal for the first time is a notable milestone and a good foundation to build on.”

“NFF officials understand the importance of camping and preparing in advance. The World Cup is scheduled for October and we are planning to start our camp next month, which will give us enough time to prepare,” he said.

“Our goal is clear: beat the 2010 World Cup record and bring home the Colombian trophy.”

As the team looks forward to resuming camp and intensifying its preparations, Abdullahi expressed hope and determination, aiming for nothing less than a historic victory.

“We are determined to go to Colombia and win the trophy. With proper preparation and support, we believe we can achieve this goal by the special grace of God,” he concluded.
