The NFF must urgently manage the Super Eagles crisis – Elumelu

Speaking to Brila.net, Elumelu said delaying the appointment of the Super Eagles’ next coach could cause problems as there will be very little time to familiarize himself with the players before the next FIFA window in September.

“I don’t want to be seen as pessimistic, but I know that we really have a crisis with football and administration. What I would simply say is that whatever they want to do between now and September, they should do it first. It’s not just about appointing a coach,” Elumelu said.

“If you appoint a coach, the coach will even have the opportunity to check the profile of the players. He tries to meet some of the players, you know, normally and not personally, and get to know the players.”

Elumelu explained that hiring a coach as soon as possible will help ensure a smoother transition and better preparation for the upcoming matches.

The coach will be able to analyze the players’ profiles and build connections with them even before meeting them physically.
