Everton no longer interested in signing Super Eagles ace for free

English Premier League side Everton have confirmed the signing of Marseille striker Iliman Ndiaye on a five-year contract.

Ndiaye becomes Everton’s third senior signing of the summer, following the arrivals of central midfielder Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and winger Jack Harrison on a season-long loan from Leeds United.

Strongly linked with Nigerian international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi due to the uncertainty surrounding Amadou Onana’s future, the club will not, however, pursue the 27-year-old’s free transfer, we have exclusively learned.

Sources close to Ndidi said Own goal Nigeria.com that despite officially leaving Leicester following the expiration of his contract, talks are still ongoing over a new deal and both parties are expected to reach an agreement soon.

He said if a deal cannot be reached, a move to English Premier League club Nottingham Forest or abroad was a possibility, with clubs in France, Germany, Spain and Italy in contact with his representatives.
