Monrovia, July 19, 2024-The Foundation of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, a.k.a. JNB Foundation, has donated several baby items to the Japanese Friendship Maternity Hospital at the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Medical Center in Monrovia.

The donation includes baby rubber tops, buckets, chairs, and gifts wrapped in red and blue, which were later distributed to mothers of newborns.

During the turnover ceremony at JFK, the President spoke with hospital officials and presented a white envelope to Dr. Dama Yekeson Koffa, the hospital’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Administration, commending the hospital staff for their efforts.

In return, Dr. Dama Yekeson Koffa thanked President Boakai for the donation, emphasizing their appreciation for the initiative to support pregnant women.

Following the item presentation, President Boakai First Lady Katumu Boakai and other government officials toured the hospital to inspect its facilities.

One beneficiary expressed excitement about the President’s visit and thanked him for considering their needs during his visit.

“We are very grateful to the President; with all these items, I don’t have to buy a baby tub anymore. This money can now be used for other expenses, reducing my financial burden,” one beneficiary indicated.

Meanwhile, the Boakai Foundation aims to drive social change in Liberia by providing essential assistance and impactful services to improve the lives of Liberians, particularly those in rural areas.
