Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency has arrested a young couple with substances valued at several hundred thousand Liberian dollars.

Nimba, Liberia, July 24, 2024 βΒ Nimba County β The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) detachment in Nimba has arrested and charged two suspects with unlicensed possession, distribution, trafficking, and sale of controlled substances.
The suspects are believed to be trading with ArcelorMittal Liberia in Yekepa, Nimba County.Β
The culprits are cohabitating or boyfriend and girlfriend and were on their way to Yekepa when they were arrested at a Joint Security Checkpoint between Sanniquellie and Yekepa in District #2.
Suspect Prince G. Tokpah, 24, and his 20-year-old girlfriend Patience Bonnah were arrested with 12Β plastic bags of Kush that have a street value of 94,080 Liberian Dollars plus 686,000 Liberian Dollarsβ worth of Heroin.
Since the LDEA detachment commander for Nimba Abraham OKai Payne was assigned to the county, over 200 suspected drug users and dealers have been arrested in Ganta and other parts of the county.Β Editing by Jonathan Browne
