The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Chief Maurice Vonovolki, who also holds the traditional title of Dyapa Bachama, has been recognized and honored with the 2026 Most Influential People of African Decend award.
The decision to honor him with this prestigious award is contained in a notification/invitation letter sent to him by the organizers and made available to journalists in Yola on Friday.
Organizers attributed the decision to honor him to his meticulous service and numerous contributions to the development of society, particularly in the banking and finance sectors, business leadership, governance and economic development in Nigeria.
Furtger acknowledged his decades of professional involvement in Nigeria’s financial sector, where he has managed to build a vibrant and successful career.
According to them, the pioneer award recognizes people whose leadership and pioneering achievements have impacted society and that, the award always brings together prominent Africans and people of Africa together with global business leaders, policy makers, executives and other professionals during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The project reports that the PDP governorship candidate is a chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria with over 25 years of professional experience.
