Abducted Nasarawa university students have regained their freedom

Six abducted students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), have regained their freedom.

The victims, who were students at the university’s Faculty of Engineering, were kidnapped by an armed group several days ago.

This was stated by the Spokesperson for the State Police Command, Rahman Nansel, in his statement in Lafia, Tuesday.

He said the victims were currently receiving the necessary medical attention and support following the ordeal they endured.

Nansel also revealed that two suspects had been detained in connection with the kidnapping.

The spokesperson added that the suspects, identified as Abdullahi Yeyi Haro, the alleged leader of the kidnapping syndicate, and Basiru Abdullahi, both from Gudi, were arrested following a sustained intelligence-led operation and coordinated tactical efforts by police officers.
