ADC Crisis: Mark’s faction writes to the CJN, urging immediate decision

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) faction led by David Mark has appealed to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, for immediate judgment in the party’s leadership dispute at the national level.

The Mark-led ADC faction appealed in a letter to the CJN signed by its chief counsel, Shuaibu Aruwa (SAN).

The letter dated April 28 was received by the CJN’s office.

This faction believes that the party will not play a role in the 2027 elections if the decision is not handed down within three days starting today.

The Supreme Court on April 22 had postponed a decision on the ADC crisis until a date to be communicated to the parties involved in the dispute.

A five-member panel of the high court headed by Justice Lawal Garba reversed its ruling shortly after lawyers representing the parties adopted their arguments for and against the appeal.
