The president of the recently published AFENIFERE National Youth, Eniola Ojajuni, revealed that the kidnappers created at least 55 fields throughout the Southwest, strategically positioned for their operations.

In a statement released on Sunday, Ojajuni, who was held prisoner for 12 days, revealed that most of these fields are located in the state of wave, followed by Ekiti, Osun and Ogun.

He urged the government to conduct in -depth safety swept between the forests of Edo, Ondo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Ibilo and Lagos.

Reflecting on his heartbreaking experience during captivity, Ojajuni shared the way the kidnappers openly discussed their plans to intensify the kidnappings in both states of Ondo and Lagos.

He underlined the need to increase intelligence efforts by security agencies and state governments to curb the threat.

β€œThe criminals have established well-organized raptor fields throughout Nigeria, strategically positioned for their operations: State of Ondo-27 fields; Ekiti State – 16 fields; Osun State – Seven fields; Ogun State – Five fields, “he said.

β€œDuring my imprisonment, the kidnappers boasted of their plans to intensify the kidnappings in the states of Ondo and Lagos, citing their fields hidden in these regions. They also revealed the details of their operations along the Ode Sagamu-Ijebu road, near Ooso-Sa Ijebu, weeks before my abduction. “

Ojajuni’s kidnapping on February 17, 2025, while traveling from the state of ondo to Abuja, aroused a widespread indignation and asks for his liberation.

With the passing of the days, the kidnappers released Ojajuni’s images and videos, showing him in difficulty and pleading to the Nigerians to raise a redemption of N100m to save his life.

The police inspector general, Kayode Egbetokun, replied, deploying the officers of the intelligence response team to ensure the release of Ojajuni.

After his release, Ojajuni rose into the press, urging the leaders of the South-West to take immediate and decisive actions to combat the growing security crisis.

In his declaration, he supported the establishment of a solid regional security network in collaboration with the police forces of Nigeria and the forest guards of Nigeria.

He specifically invited the state government of Ondo to undertake an urgent action to dismantle the criminal networks operating in the region.

“The state government of Ondo, in particular, has been criticized for its lack of urgency in facing this crisis,” Ojajuni observed. β€œThe growing audacity of these criminals must not be deselect. An immediate action is needed to restore safety and make the authors justice. “

He has further committed himself to providing first hand intelligence, obtained during his period in captivity, to help dismantle the operations of the kidnappers.

Ojajuni also underlined the need for further safety control points along the highways and forest boundaries to curb the growing criminal activities.

“The Nigerian government must act quickly and decisively to combat this crisis, deploying a further safety staff in high -risk areas, establishing more safety control points along the highways and forestry boundaries, improving intelligence and surveillance collection operations and identifying and pursuing the collaborators who help these criminals”, urged.

He praised the police inspector for starting a rescue operation led by intelligence and appreciated the quick intervention of the Nigeria forest team. However, he stressed that more efforts are required.

β€œThis intelligence should act as a alarm bell for all security agencies and state governments in the south-west. If not urgent measures are taken, a more innocent life will be at risk, “said Ojajuni.
