Algeria FA Considers Peseiro as Belmadi’s Replacement

With his contract set to expire at the end of February 2024, Peseiro has captured the attention of FAF boss Walid Sadi, who is keen on replacing current coach Djamal Belmadi.

The FAF has been impressed not only by the Portuguese’s approach, but also by his overall profile and vision for the team, with financial considerations also playing a significant role in the decision-making process.

While Peseiro stands as the preferred candidate, other seasoned coaches including 60-year-old Vladimir Petkovic and 70-year-old Carlos Queiroz, have also been linked to the role.

However, Peseiro’s recent success and alignment with FAF’s vision makes him a front runner for the position.
